For kids ages 5-13. Camps start at 9:00am and end at 4:00 pm each day. No drop-ins; children must be pre-registered to attend. Cost is $60.00 per child and covers both days of camp.
Children will learn about wolves, foxes, coyotes, bison and guinea pigs-- and other fascinating things in the world around them -- in a safe and educational setting. Campers will be involved in activities which will teach them environmental concepts such as bio-diversity, animal adaptations, tracking, and more. Campers will make craft projects relating to wolves and enrichment. Participants will see the park's resident animals up close and personal, with chances to learn and train with them.
Day campers must BRING THEIR LUNCHES, including drinks. All campers should also bring water bottles. Plenty of water will be available, and while safe to drink, our well-water has a strong metallic taste, so bringing water from home is encouraged so that kids stay hydrated.
Cameras are welcome and recommended -- there will be lots of opportunities for picture-taking! Be sure to bring sunscreen and/or bug spray. Camp will take place rain or shine -- we will not cancel due to weather -- so be sure to bring rain gear just in case. Activities will be held indoors if there are heavy storms. Also, this camp is KIDS ONLY! We are sorry, but we do not allow adults to remain with their children during camp. Please arrange drop-off and pick-up accordingly.
SAFE ATTIRE IS REQUIRED. Campers MUST be wearing (or bring with them) long pants and closed-toed shoes (sneakers, not sandals) in order to meet our foxes. Earrings and other dangly jewelry must be removed. Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail (no braids). Children who do not have this attire will not be permitted to interact with our animals. (Sorry!)
Please be sure to advise Wolf Park staff of any special needs (medication, allergies, etc.) your child(ren) may have, so everyone may have a safe and enjoyable experience!
Once you sign up online, you will receive an email confirmation of your purchase and your child’s space will be held. You will receive an information packet about camp, including a Parental Consent Form which needs to be completed and returned prior to the start of camp, about a month before camp starts.
For more information see Wolf Park’s web site, www.wolfpark.org. If you have any questions about the camps, please email email@example.com.
We may cancel a camp session if we do not have a minimum of 5 children enrolled two weeks prior to the event.
