“The Canid Quartet: Behavior of Wolves, Foxes, Coyotes, & Dogs"
October 25-27, 2019
Join Wolf Park staff in our in-house seminar focused on deepening our understanding of the four most commonly known canines: Wolves, Coyotes, Foxes, and dogs! Spend three whole days immersed in topics on comparative behavior of related canids: Where they live, what they eat, how they behave, and more!
In addition to lectures, there will be a daily opportunity to learn about our canine ambassadors up close and personal through monitored interactions with Wolf Park staff. Please note: not every animal in our collection is able to be viewed, and ambassador encounters are weather and context specific. Wolf Park reserves the right to withhold animal interactions if we feel it is not safe for our animals or guest.
Must be 18 or older. Space is limited to 15 participants.
Sampling of Topics:
- Identifying and phenotyping Canines
- Evolutionary History of the Wolf and Dog
- Predatory strategies of wild canids
- Human-Non-Human interactions and their Impact
