Description

Last year we had an amazing celebration of our founder, Dr. Erich Klinghammer, and our forty-five years of a rich Wolf Park history.  This year our mission to “Save Wolves, Save Wilderness” was met in new and exciting ways. We couldn’t have done it without YOUR help.  As the year draws to a close, we reflect on what we have accomplished and what we can do with YOUR loyalty and generosity in years to come to make the lives better, not just for our animal ambassadors, but for wolves in the wild.

Here’s what YOUR donation helped Wolf Park to achieve in 2018:

  • Wolf Park hosted over 19,000 guests for guided tours, summer camps, educational seminars, and Howl Nights.
  • Our Dollar Day Event alone hosted over 2,200 guests in March—a new record!
  • Wolf Park partnered with Purdue University EPICS on displays for the education center and designs for fox animal enclosures.
  • Wolf Park continued the Tipping Point environmental lecture series featuring speakers including the executive directors from the Hoosier Environmental Council and the Indiana Recycling Coalition.
  • We offered two new  seminars featuring world-renowned animal behaviorists Chirag Patel and Dr. Susan Friedman, bringing the most current approaches to understanding animal behavior.
  • Wolf Park rolled out two new successful events: STEM Day partnered with 20+ statewide science organizations, including NASA, to illustrate the importance of science-based education; Wolfenoot, to be held on November 23, will collaborate with local organizations to celebrate canines and those who are kind to them.  This event has achieved international attention and Wolf Park was chosen as the charity of choice this year.
  • Wolf Park collaborated with researchers from the vonHoldt Evolutionary Genomics end Ecological Epigenomics lab from Princeton University to provide samples yielding breakthrough research about Williams-Beuren Syndrome published in Science Advances.

Those are just the highlights, too!  YOUR support makes Wolf Park’s success a reality, and we couldn’t do what we do without YOU.  We are honored and grateful that you choose to support Wolf Park and we are asking you to continue your financial support now. Your gift of any size is appreciated. No amount is too large or too small!

On average, it takes $550,000 to maintain Wolf Park and we rely on your donations to help us cover our costs. YOU are the reason that we are able to provide excellent care to each of our animals. Financial contributions also help us provide education to the public and resources for researchers working to support our animal ambassadors’ wild counterparts.  Please consider making a donation to Wolf Park today.

As a special thank you for our contributors this year, we are offering “gifts” for the following donation levels:

  • For $250, you will receive a new Wolf Park Notepad and a 4X6 matted photo taken by Monty Sloan.
  • For $500, you will receive our Wolf Park Photo Mug created by Monty Sloan.
  • For $750, you will receive a Wolf Park Fleece Blanket.
  • For $1000, you will receive, a one-year sponsorship and a Photo Session with hardcover photo book containing photos of your visit.

Along with our daily expenses, our animal ambassadors need updated enclosures to continue to thrive.  This year we are offering you an opportunity to contribute specifically to our ‘Wolf Enclosure Capital Project’.  To participate, indicate on the slip below that you wish your donation to go towards this project and 100% of the funds will be directed as such.

During this holiday season, please consider a gift to Wolf Park today. Your generous gift will enable us to continue providing outstanding care for our animals and engaging programming for visitors.
